Aniada combines the simple monuments of an old Evrytanian village with an impressive natural setting. Its stone churches, small chapels and, above all, its proximity to Kaliakouda offer visitors a range of experiences, from gentle walks through the fir forests to more demanding mountain ascents.

• Church of Agios Nikolaos – the stone-built parish church of Aniada is one of the village’s most important buildings. According to local historical accounts, it was built between 1837 and 1840 and has been preserved to this day.
• Chapel of Panagia – closely associated with the religious tradition of the area and the celebrations of 15 August, it is a distinctive landmark in the mountain landscape of Kaliakouda.
• Aniada – Kaliakouda Refuge Route – one of the most beautiful hiking options in the area. The old trail starts from Aniada and passes through dense fir forest before reaching the mountain refuge. The route is approximately 3.2 km long, is waymarked and has access to water, and with no particularly steep climbs, it can be a good choice even for less experienced hikers.
• Kaliakouda Refuge – located at an altitude of approximately 1,400 metres in the Lakkómata area, it is a key starting point for exploring the mountain. From here, routes begin or intersect towards Megalo Chorio, the mountain pass and the higher slopes of Kaliakouda.
• Ascent to the summit of Kaliakouda – for more experienced mountaineers, the route from the refuge to the summit, at approximately 2,100 metres, offers impressive panoramic views over the “sea of mountains” of Evrytania. It is, however, a considerably more demanding mountain route, especially in winter conditions.
• Kaliakouda Pass – this impressive mountain pass lies at an altitude of approximately 1,750 metres and opens up views towards the southern slopes of the mountain and the deep gorges of the area. The region is also associated with the historic Battle of Kaliakouda of 1823, commemorated by a memorial near Lakkomata.
