We are delighted to welcome you to Karpenisi and Megalo Chorio! Here, in an authentic place of life with the most genuine way of living, on the mountainous side of Greece. The region’s natural environment, unmatched in beauty and purity, is our greatest asset. Towering mountains, endless forests, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque villages create a world straight out of a fairytale.

In this enchanting landscape, a new event for the region’s mountain sports has arrived — a major running race, the “Karpenissi Trail,” is now a reality.

The wild beauty of Mount Kaliakouda and its breathtaking views, combined with the passion and strength of our local athletes — who have earned remarkable distinctions in major running events — inspired us to organize a mountain trail race. This event tests the limits of endurance while generously offering participants the chance to experience the unique nature of Evrytania.

Organizations, associations, athletes, volunteers, and the local community join forces with a shared goal: to establish a mountain trail race with competitive variety that appeals to everyone — from the casual amateur runner to the most demanding professional athlete — giving the event a truly special and unique character!

Choose the distance you wish to run and fill in your details accurately. Your participation is valid only after the timely payment of the registration fee, according to the distance you have selected.
Participation fee:

• 30€ for Kaliakouda Trail race of 26 km
• 18€ for Lakomata Trail race of 13 km
• 12€ for Gavros Trail race of 6 km
