The Feast of the Assumption on 15 August is one of the liveliest moments of the summer in Aniada. The celebration of the Virgin Mary brings together residents, visitors and people from Aniada returning to their home village, with the Divine Liturgy followed by the traditional festival in the village square.

The celebration continues with music, dancing and lively gatherings, keeping the village tradition alive. The festivities often extend into 16 August with a popular music evening organised by the local cultural association with the support of the Municipality of Karpenisi.
