Alestia offers visitors a beautiful combination of mountain tradition and unspoilt nature. The parish church, small chapels, old trails and abundant waters flowing through the area create a landscape ideal for peaceful walks and short explorations.

• Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary – the parish church is located in the centre of the village and serves as the main religious landmark of Alestia, especially during the celebrations of 15 August.
• Alestia Trails – a network of old paths around the village has been cleared and waymarked through volunteer initiatives by the local association and mountaineers. The routes run along the northern slopes of the Panaitoliko mountain range, through fir forests, ravines and old agricultural land.
• Alestia – Agia Paraskevi Sarkini Route – an easy hiking trail of approximately 2.7 km, starting near the waterfalls of the Alestia gorge and following an old path through dense fir forest. Along the way, hikers pass streams, small brooks, a stone fountain and old terraces before the trail reaches the chapel of Agia Paraskevi.
• Old Mountain Trails – for those looking for a longer route, a marked hiking trail of approximately 7.5 km runs through the area around Alestia, crossing ridges and mountain passes with open views towards the peaks of the Panaitoliko mountain range.
• Waterfalls and Flowing Waters – water is one of the defining features of the Alestia landscape. Streams, small waterfalls and springs can be found around the settlement and along the hiking trails, creating cool, refreshing spots amid the dense greenery.
• Old Watermill – the village’s old watermill stands near a waterfall that flows throughout the year. From here begins one of the area’s most characteristic hiking trails.
