Chestnut Festival 2025 at Agia Triada!

The square of Agia Triada fills with the scents and warmth of autumn! The Agiatriadites Association welcomes you with roasted chestnuts sizzling over the fire, hot aromatic mountain tea, and delicious traditional trachanas soup! Enjoy the environmental walk through the chestnut groves, take part in the creative art activities with natural materials, visit the village’s museums and historic churches, and celebrate at the big traditional feast!

Start the day with a magical stroll through the chestnut groves of Agia Triada. Discover the beauty of traditional cultivation up close and learn how this mountain treasure keeps local traditions alive through the centuries.

Using chestnuts, leaves, twigs, stones, and other natural treasures, we will create beautiful autumn-inspired crafts. A hands-on activity that sparks imagination and brings us closer to the magic of nature! - 12:00 – 16:00 – Museum Visits
Karapipereio Folklore Museum & K. Tsatsos Museum
Explore traditional objects, tools, and utensils that reveal the way of life in the mountain countryside, while the historical exhibits dedicated to Konstantinos Tsatsos highlight the social and intellectual development of modern Greece. - 10:00 – 16:00 – Visit the Church of St. Vissarion
Built in 1884, this beautiful church impresses with its exquisite carved wooden iconostasis – a true masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship. - 14:00 – Big Village Feast in the Square
Under the golden autumn plane tree, the square comes alive with a traditional folk orchestra. With Marina Panagiotopoulou on vocals, Dimitris Chatzis on vocals, Panos Kotrotsos on clarinet, and the villagers leading the way, a real old-style celebration is guaranteed!
