3o Sterea Run – Karpenisi Night Run

These races belong to the City Run category and have a circular course on the asphalt streets of the city, while the route of the 10,000 meter race also passes through the Sports Training Center of Karpenisi.The routes are safe, even though they take place at night, as they run through illuminated streets of the city. Project marking cones will be placed along the route and there will be volunteers. Runners will be given a unique opportunity to compete on a route that in just 5 km will take them from the Historic Center of the city to the modern Sports Center of Karpenisi which will welcome them illuminated, full of fir trees, plane trees and water.

The Karpenisi Night Run includes routes for all ages and fitness levels:

• 10 km: A race that starts from Markos Botsaris Square, passes through the Karpenisi Sports Training Center and returns to the same square. A journey from the historic city center to our modern sports center, within just 5 km full of natural beauty.
• 5 km: A shorter but equally impressive route that starts and ends at Markos Botsaris Square, passing through the main streets of the city.
• 1 km: Aimed at elementary and high school children, starting at 19:30 and 19:45 respectively. It is the perfect opportunity for our little friends to feel the joy of sports on a safe and illuminated route.

Karpenissi, the capital of the Prefecture of Evrytania, offers an amazing environment for this night race, built at the foot of Velouchi at an altitude of 1000 meters.
