Highlights
At the heart of the village stands the Church of Saint Andrew, the parish church and focal point of the community’s religious celebrations. The wider area also preserves significant historical traces: on the hill of Paliokastro, remnants of ancient fortress walls can still be seen, while at the site known as Kaminia, archaeological finds such as tombs and bronze grave goods have been unearthed. Equally noteworthy is the old Monastery of the Panagia (“Katafygio”), founded in 1661 and later burned, which continues to bear witness to the region’s rich spiritual and historical past.
